Dave Cockrum, legendary artist and co-creator of such characters as Storm, Nightcrawler, the Starjammers and many more, died on Saturday of complications from diabetes. He was 63.
For the uninformed, Dave Crockrum was the co-creator of a new era in the X-men comics. Without his influence, the X-men just wouldn’t be what they are today. In fact, the comics industry as a whole has benefited from his influence. So for all of ya’ll into X-men, be it the animated cartoons, video games, comics, or movie, raise your lighters up and give him a 21 gun salute.
